City of Wenatchee - Opportunity to Request a Public Comment Period on an Air Quality Permit.
Ecology has received an air quality permit application from the City of Wenatchee. The application is to revise their existing Notice of Construction (air quality permit) to combust additional digester gas as fuel in the boiler located at the wastewater treatment plant. The facility is located at 201 N Worthen Street. A public comment period on a draft permit revision will be held only if a written request is received by Lynnette Haller by no later than February 13, 2012.

Kaiser Trentwood Public Meeting and Comment Period for Remedial Investigation and Feasibility Study Reports

Modification of the Aquatic Plant and Algae Management General Permit
On Feb. 1, 2012, Ecology released a draft modification of the Aquatic Plant and Algae Management General Permit and Notice of Intent (NOI). The permit is a joint National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System and State Waste Discharge General Permit. The permit covers the discharge of products used to control aquatic plants and algae in state lakes. The permit also allows treatment of nuisance emergent plants along roadsides and ditch banks. Modification of the Industrial Stormwater General Permit
On February 1, 2012, Ecology released a draft modification of the Industrial Stormwater General Permit. This permit was last issued in October 2009 and is scheduled to expire in January 2015. This modification is necessary to address the April 25, 2011, ruling by the state Polluion Board, which requires changes to the sampling and corrective action requirements. Ecology is also proposing to remove the numeric effluent limitations for fecal coliform and replace them with Best Management Practices.  Industrial Stormwater General Permit
