The Industrial Section manages 31 NPDES permits and 14 State Permits. To learn more about this type of permit visit the Ecology website at http://www.ecy.wa.gov/programs/wq/permits/index.html#wastewater_individual_permits or visit EPA's web site at http://cfpub.epa.gov/npdes/. Nine Air Operating Permits are managed by the Industrial Section: Eight for pulp and paper mills and three for aluminum smelters.
